Children bring joy to our lives. They fill us with love, yet, ask any parent, and they say the most challenging thing in life is raising a child, especially the first year. And providing good education in the earliest years sets them toward a productive and healthy life. That’s what Friedrich Ebert Stiftung Kosovo found out in their research on the current state of early education in Kosovo.
To present the research findings, FES Kosovo commissioned us to create an educational animation video.
The findings were interesting, and our goal was to find a way to present these data without neglecting anything.
The only way to present data engagingly is through a story. But the challenge is to find a story that grabs the attention of parents of young children. And then, it hit us.
The child is the one that always gets the attention of a parent. When children voice their concerns, parents are there to listen. So, to “listen” to our data, we made the video a child’s story.
Narrated in the first tense from a child’s perspective, we incorporated all the essential findings in the video. While the narration touched the emotional side of the parent, the visuals supported the claims with data from the research. We used warm colors and toy shapes to visualize the story to give that warm child feel.
After it launched on social media, the video received positive feedback from the audience, reporting high organic reach and engagement. So, it turns out we were right; parents really do listen when a child speaks :)
